Another Omnipod PDM replacement.....

Some information for Omnipod user's to be on the lookout for..

We received a replacement pdm(personal diabetes manager) a few months ago.. The first one we received with our Omnipod insulin pump started reading the bg in the low range instead of the normal range with control solution and Omnipod replaced our pdm. Now our replacement pdm is doing the same thing.
We should be getting another replacement Tuesday.

The coop in the dry. Ready for roofing/siding. We will be re-attatching the fencing soon.

We will also be adding atleast another 4x8' addition onto the coop in the next few months. We will build the nest boxes/larger roost then.

Thankful :)

Getting rid of the old chicken coop..

We tore down and burned our old chicken coop.
We had built it about 15 years ago.

We will be putting up phase one of the new coop soon!

Ducklings :)

We picked up 2 ducklings at our local tractor supply store last Wed.. We will get more with the next shipment the first of this week. These are White Pekin.
They follow Isaac around like he is "papa" duck.
Our other ducks would follow along behind him everywhere also :)
The weather was warm and he removed them from the heat lights a little while.
Cutie Patootie's :)

God is good.

Another Dexcom Failure!

We started with Dexcom in June 2011.
The Dexcom had a "fatal" error in Nov. and was replaced.
Yesterday our Dexcom had another error.
Our replacement should be here this evening...
Have any of you had to have Dex. replaced?

Sure have missed Isaac's Dexcom 7 Plus Continous Glucose Monitor this passed 24 hours :(

Thank the Lord it was still under warranty.  :)

Our chicks are here..

The post office called this morning and said that our chicks had arrived!

This is the box they arrived in.
Isaac could hardly stand the wait for them :)
We brought them home and placed them in their new living quarters.
He chose Buff Orpingtons, Partridge Rocks and Silver Laced Wyandott's. ( The Buffs and Rocks are supposed to be excellent setters/mothers.)
We have 26. The exotic free chick that McMurray Hatchery sent was dead on arrival :(
They are so cute. Looking forward to having chickens again. It has been a year or so that we have had any. Lot's of eggs comin soon.
