Making Homemade Chili for supper

I made chili for supper this evening.
I add navy beans, kidney beans and our garden canned tomatoes to my slow cooker.

I brown our home grown beef :) (sometimes I use venison, elk or bear) and add chopped bell peppers/onions and spices.

Then I add the meat mixture to the bean mixture in our slow cooker and let simmer for a few hours. I usually serve this with shredded cheddar cheese and crackers or cornbread.

Y.U.M. I *love* chili! I think that I will have to whip up a batch soon. We have seasons in our neck of the woods...fall/winter cooking is so comforting, isn't it? :)

Blessings to you!
