Cat Scratch Fever!

Abram was scratched on his hand by our cat a few months ago. Since then he developed Cat Scratch Fever. He is on a second round of antibiotics. He has a different third one already prescribed if the nodes are not alot smaller in the next few weeks. His temp. rose to above 103. The lymph nodes were enlarged to the size of a jumbo egg. I am sure they were alot larger including the part on the inside of his body.
The Dr. drawing fluid from a lymph node in Abram's armpit.
Some more of the fluid drawn from the node under his armpit.

This is some of the fluid drawn from the lymph node above Abram's elbow.
More fluid from the swollen node above the elbow.
He has had about 9 syringes of fluid drawn out and there is still more fluid in there. The nodes have been pretty painful.
I am thankful that he is no longer running a fever and that one of the nodes is beginning to get smaller.

Oh my goodness! I have always heard of this but have never known anyone who has gotten it. Many prayers being sent his way.

I second Kelly, "Oh my goodness!". Praise God that you were able to get him proper care. I also have just heard about it but never knew anyone that contracted it. I will be praying for a speedy recovery!
