Diabetes supplies made into CHRISTmas ornaments

I saved some of Isaac's used Omipod PDM Blood Glucose Test Strips and placed them into a clear plastic ornament and hung it on our CHRISTmas tree.

I also saved and decorated some of his used Omnipod Insulin Pumps and hung them on our CHRISTmas tree.

I thank God for all of His many blessings.

Dexcom G4 Platinum :)

So thankful to have received our new Dexcom G4 Platinum Continuous Glucose Monitor and sensors this week :)
Isaac is looking forward to trying it out :) I have read some reviews that have stated a much farther range and better accuracy with the G4 compared to the 7 Plus~I sure hope so.
*I want a cure most of all but I am so thankful for better technology to help take care of our loved ones living with Type 1 Diabetes!
So much to be thankful for.

Big Buck for Isaac :) Muzzleloader Season 2012

Isaac killed this buck on the morning of 11-15-12.
It is the largest buck he has killed.
I am so very proud of him :)
 It was an eight pointer!
Great job Isaac~

How to can deer meat

I pack beef tips/stew meat into my jars up to the "neck".
Then I add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the jar.
I place the lids and rings onto the jar and tighten.
I process the quart jars in my canner on 10lbs. of pressure for 90 minutes. I process the pint jars on 10lbs. of pressure for 75 minutes.
This last picture looks oddly colored because of the flash. :)
