We received Isaac's new Omnipod PDM. I programmed in all of the settings and started it with his new Pod this morning. Tested with control solution and it read within the normal range. Our old one had been reading in the low instead of normal range with control solution testing.(Same thing happened with our start up Omnipod PDM.) Hopefully this one will work. This is our third PDM and also our third Dexcom since starting them last June. The dexcom's kept having "fatal" errors. I am very thankful that they were still under warranty.
An older picture of Isaac's previous Dexcom CGM and Omnipod PDM-reading the same bg level..which rarely happens by the way. I am also very thankful to have these two diabetes tools.
We got our new Dex today...I guess we're all just feeling lucky to have our favorite technology on hand again.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful it is that there are so many amazing technological advances in medicine for the care of our children. I trust you are enjoying your son's new PDM and it has no more glitches. :/
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!

What test strips were you using? Because it looks like the newer butterfly strips and for me those always read lower than the older ones.
ReplyDeleteI have always used the ones that are approved for Omnipod the freestyle freedom-butterfly strips. The company made a change in the normal readings zone-they are lower for certain strip lot numbers...but they have always read in the low normal range when not reading below normal range.
