Here are some of the Morel mushrooms that Abram and Isaac have been gathering. They find most of them on the eastern side of hills/mountains under Tulip Poplar trees. They usually come up in a day after a spring rain.
They cooked some of them the other night. They sliced them up into quarters and dipped them in a cornmeal and flour mixture with salt and pepper and fried them in a small amount of olive oil.

How cool is that?? We don't have mushrooms like that growing around where we live. :)
Thank you for stopping by at *my place* and for leaving a sweet and encouraging comment. It's a blessing to have *met* you!
Blessings to you!

Oh those luck yummy! Your morels are lighter colored than the ones that we find. We haven't found any yet this year but it is raining today so maybe soon! I am hoping.
