Our omnipod rep. Leah talking Isaac through his pdm functions and filling his pod.
Putting on his pod.
Omnipod supplies/resource books.
Getting ready to start the pod.
Checking to see how the catheter looks.
He said it didn't hurt :)
I already REALLY like the pod!
Blessed
My husband, mom, sister and some siblings/cousins being supportive!
Thankful for my family and that they are willing and wanting to be a part of Isaac's diabetes care.
WooHoo!!
ReplyDeleteCouple of things:
We use Uni-Solve on the pods when we are taking them off. We rub it on the old one while we are getting the new one ready and by the time the new one is on, the old one is practically falling off. We also use Skin-Prep to help them stick...rub in on he skin and let dry before putting on the new pod. We get both of them at a local pharmacy that also sells medical supplies...haven't seen them in a 'regular' store with a pharmacy.
We also configure Bean's PDM kit a bit differently because she uses the Multi-Clix lancer. So, the lancer goes at the top; the insulin vial is where the 'top' battery holder is...the top of the vial fits into the loop; and the test strip bottle goes where the insulin vial is 'supposed' to go.
I can send you a picture if it would help...Bean is out to lunch with Ubergeek at the moment, so so is her PDM!! :)
GOOD LUCK!!!
Godbless ya'll..enjoying this blog.Looks good Isaac:)
