We have potatoes, corn, green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, squash, zucchini, carrots, watermelon, cantaloupe, kohlrabi, onions, lettuce, spinach and chard planted so far..and maybe a few other things that I forgot.. :)
We will also be planting some mustard greens and pumkins later.
The garden is doing well.
We also have another smaller garden planted but the food has not grown up tall enough to show up good in a picture.
I am looking foward to a great harvest and canning lots of food this fall!
Lord willing :)

Team Isaac 2012 JDRF Walk To Cure Diabetes
We had our local JDRF walk this past weekend..This is most of our team this year :) Lots of great family and friends!!
Thank you so very much Team Isaac-so far we have raised over $2500.00.
Isaac after visiting the face painting booth!
The lady who does the face painting is in her 70's and has had type 1 diabetes for over 65 years and has never been hospitalized after her diagnosis because of diabetes and has no complications from diabetes..
Such a great thing to hear :)
Hannah showing her support and Sarah and Isaac in the background. Got to love cousins :)
My sister Shellie, Sarah and Lexi getting ready to walk in support of Isaac and all others living with type 1 diabetes.....
The weather was beautiful.
Marty, Misty, Jacob, Abram and Isaac :)
A little hand dancing to some great music!
Isaac, Savannah, Connor and Dalton.
My mom and Aunt Kathy ready to walk.
More supportive cousins-Patricia,Tasha, BrookAnna and Gunner.
Tired after a busy day....
Our Pastor and his growing family :)
Of course Isaac couldn't be a near a lake and not do some fishing...lol
We will always love and support you Isaac..
:) You are our Hero :)

New Omnipod PDM
We received Isaac's new Omnipod PDM. I programmed in all of the settings and started it with his new Pod this morning. Tested with control solution and it read within the normal range. Our old one had been reading in the low instead of normal range with control solution testing.(Same thing happened with our start up Omnipod PDM.) Hopefully this one will work. This is our third PDM and also our third Dexcom since starting them last June. The dexcom's kept having "fatal" errors. I am very thankful that they were still under warranty.
An older picture of Isaac's previous Dexcom CGM and Omnipod PDM-reading the same bg level..which rarely happens by the way. I am also very thankful to have these two diabetes tools.

Morel mushrooms
Here are some of the Morel mushrooms that Abram and Isaac have been gathering. They find most of them on the eastern side of hills/mountains under Tulip Poplar trees. They usually come up in a day after a spring rain.
They cooked some of them the other night. They sliced them up into quarters and dipped them in a cornmeal and flour mixture with salt and pepper and fried them in a small amount of olive oil.
